20.02.02: Patch 2 for TrueSight Capacity Optimization 20.02

This topic contains information about fixes and updates provided in this patch. It also provides instructions for downloading and applying the patch.

Important

  • Before you install this patch, make sure that you have installed the base version (20.02) or Patch 1 (20.02.01) of the product. Patches are cumulative and contain all updates released after the base version.
  • Make sure that you have installed this Patch 2 (20.02.02) of the product to apply any cumulative hotfixes released after this patch (20.02.02).
  • Patch 2 (20.02.02) can be used with existing BMC Helix Continuous Optimization agents. We recommend that you use the latest version of agents with this patch. For details, see Support-for-BMC-Helix-Continuous-Optimization-agents-and-Gateway-Server.

For details on supported product versions, see Compatibility-matrix.

Nonnegative percentile-shift linear trend algorithm in Time Forecasting Model

The Nonnegative percentile-shift linear trend algorithm is a variant of the Robust linear regression algorithm. In this algorithm, the predicted linear trend is constrained to have a nonnegative slope. Additionally, the prediction starts from a user-defined percentile level of the historical data.

Use this algorithm to prevent modeling the forecasted data that has a negative slope and to perform a conservative prediction. For details, see Time-forecasting-model-algorithms-for-detecting-monotonic-trends-in-data.

Export and import ETL configuration by using APIs

Use the ETL configuration APIs to export the existing ETL configuration from an environment and to import it into another environment. You can also use these APIs to modify, delete, and stop the ETL configuration. For more details, see Exporting-and-importing-ETL-configuration-by-using-APIs.

Create a composite report based on a report template

In the Workspace, create a composite report for a parent domain by using a report template. The report is created by combining all the leaf domain reports that are generated at runtime. This runtime report generation saves time required to manually create a separate report for each leaf domain. For more information, see Creating-reports.

Activity to create and edit data marts

All default roles required to create and edit data marts include the Enable creation of data marts activity. If you plan to use a custom role for data marts, make sure to include this activity. For details, see Default-users-and-user-groups.

Ignore past saturation for the Days to Saturation indicator

While configuring the Days to Saturation indicator, use the Ignore past saturation option to ignore all systems that are already saturated from the DTS alerts and display only upcoming saturations. Accordingly, these saturated systems are not listed in the Recommendations pages in the view. For more information, see Indicators.

Support for Oracle 19.18 and 19.16
