Troubleshooting TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine for event to incident correlation reports

This topic provides information on how to analyze and troubleshoot problems that you might experience when using TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine for event to incident correlation reports.

  • Issue: When you refresh the Scorecard Summary report with ITSM database as SQL Server database, you may encounter the following error:
Database error: An error occurred while converting the varchar value to JDBC data type TIMESTAMP

Workaround: To resolve this issue, you must connect to ITSM universe using OLEDB connection. For more information, see Configuring-SAP-BusinessObjects-for-the-OLEDB-connection-type.

  • Issue: When you use the event to incident reports with ITSM database as Oracle database, you may encounter the following errors:

For Event to Incident and Escalated Incident reports, 

Database error: ORA-00904: "DATETIME": invalid identifier

For Scorecard Summary report, 

Some objects are no longer available in the universe.

Workaround: To resolve this issue, you must change the ITSM database connection type to the Oracle Client.
