Viewing migration jobs
You can view information about existing migration jobs as they go through various phases.
Migration job phases
At the top of the page a graphical illustration of the progress of the migration job is displayed. The phases are defined as follows:
- Ready for Export—The migration job has been created, but the export job has not yet been started.
- Export Data—The export job is in progress.
- Ready for Import—The export job has completed successfully and created a data package that you import into the target system.
- Import Data—One or more import jobs has been started.
- Complete—The migration job is complete.
To view an existing migration job
- From the navigation bar, open the Home page and click the Migration Jobs tab.
The Migration Jobs tab shows a list of all migration jobs that have been created. - Click the Select button at the top right of the page, select a job from the list, and click Select.
Perform any of the following actions:
- Drill down to view the details of the migration job.
- Refresh the list to obtain the latest information.
- Filter the list of migration jobs displayed.
The initial view of the Migration View Job page shows the summary configuration.

Description
Source and Target
The source and target ITSM and file systems are listed at the top of the page.
Job Name
The name of the migration job.
Status
The status of the migration job. Values are:
- Ready to Start Export
- Data Staged
- Data Packaged
- Export Failed
- Ready to Start Import
- Imported Data
- Complete
Migration Pack
The name of the migration pack used to perform the export and import of data.
Incremental
Indicates whether the migration job will perform an incremental update of data in the target system.
Export Template
The name of the migration pack used to perform the export and import of data.
Export Threads
The number of threads used for the export.
Notes tab
A freeform notes field for the user to record notes.
Included Forms or Included Tables tab
The list of forms or tables that are included in the export. You can filter this list using the search bar in the header.
Parameters tab
The runtime parameters provided for this migration job and used to filter the data to export. Shown as a list of AR System qualifications against each node. The example shows a qualification against the COM:Company root node.
To change a migration job's name or add notes
- Click the Notes tab.

- To edit the name and notes, click the pen icon.
- To confirm the change, click the check icon.
To cancel the change click the cross icon.
