Renaming a license type

You can rename an existing license type from the Configure License Types dialog.

For versions prior to Service Pack 1 for version 8.1 make sure that the license type and all related license certificates are offline.

Renaming a license type

  1. From the Application Administration Console, click the Custom Configuration tab.
  2. From the Application Settings list, choose Asset Management> Advanced Options> Configure License Type, and then click Open.
    The Configure Licenses form lists the current license types.
  3. From the list, select the license type that you want to rename and click Rename.
  4. Update the name and description for the license type in the dialog box displayed and click OK, then click Yes to confirm.

The updated name is displayed on the Configure License Type dialog.
