Enabling BMC Helix Single Sign-On for Developer Studio

As a  Action Request System  administrator, you can enable  BMC Helix Single Sign-On  ( BMC Helix Single Sign-On ) for the developer who logs in to  Developer Studio .

To enable SSO for  Developer Studio

  1. Log in to  Developer Studio as a  AR System server  administrator.
  2. Select Window > Preferences.
  3. In the Remedy Single Sign-On for User Authentication section, select Enabled.
    By default,  BMC Helix Single Sign-On  is disabled.

  4. Click Apply and Close.
    SSO authentication is enabled.
  5. Enter the following settings in Centralized Configuration System (CCS) for the AR System server  to be identified as an BMC Helix Single Sign-On -integrated server:

To find logging information

If a developer successfully logs in to Developer Studio , no logs are updated. However, if the developer does not log in successfully, you can find the exception stack trace in the .log file (the .log file does not have any file name) in the Developer Studio  workspace. The default location for the .log file is C:\Users\Administrator\DeveloperStudio\workspace\.metadata.

  1. In Developer Studio , select Window > Show View > Other.
  2. In the Show View dialog box, open the General folder.
  3. Click Error Log.
  4. Click Open.
    The Error Log pane is displayed on the right.
