Starting and stopping the Presentation Server services

This topic provides the instructions for starting and stopping the TrueSight Presentation Server service. Follow the procedure appropriate for your operating system.

To start or stop services on Microsoft Windows

You can use the Windows services manager to start or stop the TrueSight Presentation Server service.

1. From the start menu, select Run and enter the services.msc command.
2. In the Services window, select the BMC Truesight Presentation Server, and click Stop, or Restart.

To start or stop services on Linux

Open a CLI command prompt and run the following commands to start or stop the TrueSight Presentation Server service:

For root users:

• service BMCTSPSSvc stop  - to stop the service
• service BMCTSPSSvc start - to start the service

For non-root users:

• sudo service BMCTSPSSvc stop  - to stop the service
• sudo service BMCTSPSSvc start - to start the service
