Integration with other products

Enhancement to Capacity Optimization plugin

You do not need to download and install the TrueSight Capacity Optimization plugin manually. The plugin is installed as part of the TrueSight Presentation Server installation. To register Capacity Optimization in the Presentation Server, you need to add it as a component to the TrueSight console.

For details on adding Capacity Optimization to the Presentation Server, see  Adding and editing components. Open link

Launch context-aware applications from events

Launch context-aware applications from events and lower your mean time to repair (MTTR) while resolving events. Get additional information about a problem by accessing other applications based on the data present in the events.

You can enable this capability by creating cross-launch URLs for any application and by specifying a set of conditions (or slot values) that must be present in the event for the URL to be accessible. You can also create cross-launch URLs with no specific conditions (with no slots specified).

This feature reduces the time and complexity involved in obtaining information from other applications – starting from obtaining the correct application URL, getting the right permissions to view the information on the application, and then finally locating the information that you need on the application.

For more information, see Configuring context-aware cross-launch URLs. Open link

Security

Last login time

After a successful log in to the TrueSight console, a Last login time notification displays the time of the last login. This notification can be closed manually by clicking the close button or by navigating to a different view on the console. When the user logs in for the first time, the notification is displayed as Last login time: Never.
The last login option is disabled by default and you can enable this from the user preferences screen.

For details, see  Setting user preferences. Open link

Change Password

A new Change Password option is available from the TrueSight console action menu. From the console action menu, click Change Password and update the new password.

The change password option is available only if you have logged in as a local user. The option is not available on the console if you are a non-local user. For example, an LDAP or SAML user is a non-local user.

For details, see  Setting user preferences. Open link

Login and logout

  • A two-step login has been introduced.

    1. The users are required to provide the application domain or tenant ID followed by the user credentials to log into the TrueSight console.
    2. Remedy Single Sign-On login page is presented as the TrueSight console login page.

Important:The two-step login is applicable only for a multi-tenant environment. Only step 2 is applicable for a single tenant environment.

  • Logging out of the TrueSight console navigates back to the Remedy Single Sign-On login page.
