Technical bulletin — Announcing the end of support for the embedded SAP SQL Anywhere (earlier Sybase) database engine within TrueSight Operations Management
SAP has decided to end support for the embedded SAP SQL Anywhere (earlier Sybase) database engine within TrueSight Operations Management .
As a result, if you are using the embedded SAP SQL Anywhere (earlier Sybase) database engine, you must upgrade to TrueSight Operations Management 11.3.04 or later by March 15, 2023 to continue receiving full support.
If you do not upgrade to TrueSight Operations Management 11.3.04 or later by March 15, 2023, you will receive limited support according to the License agreement.
However, if you require patches or security updates, you must upgrade to a fully-supported version (11.3.04 or later) of TrueSight Operations Management .
Alternatively, BMC Software strongly recommends that you migrate to
BMC Helix Operations Management
, which offers new features and AIOps, an AI/ML-based technology platform that leverages big data to automate and enhance IT operations.

From the command line of the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server (TSIM) run the

command.If Oracle is present in the results, the system is using Oracle database.

However, if you experience an issue that requires the development of a hotfix, patch, or other R&D-delivered updates to the product, you must move to a fully-supported version of TrueSight Operations Management (11.3.04 or later).
