Technical bulletin — Announcing availability of TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01 refreshed GA build
This section contains information about TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01 refreshed GA build on the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site. Your ability to access product pages on the EPD website is determined by the license entitlements purchased by your company.
Notifying users about the availability of TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01 refreshed GA build
BMC Software is notifying users that a refreshed GA build for TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01 is uploaded on the EPD. This refreshed build contains newly created BMC out-of-the-box internal certificates for the App Visibility Proxy (Elasticsearch) component only, as the original certificates had expired. Based on your requirement, do the following:

- This issue affects the App Visibility Proxy versions 11.3.01, 11.3.02, and 11.3.03. Therefore, the solution needs to be applied to all these versions of App Visibility Proxy.
- The refreshed build on the EPD site displays the original date and not the refreshed date.
Fresh installation
Do a fresh installation, if you are planning to newly install TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01. For install instructions, see
Installing TrueSight App Visibility Server.
Note: If you have an existing TrueSight App Visibility Server 11.3.01, 11.3.02, or 11.3.03 installations, you must manually replace the certificates. For instructions, see Existing installation.
Existing installation
Note
No additional action required on the App Visibility Portal and App Visibility Collector components.
If you have an existing TrueSight App Visibility Proxy 11.3.01, 11.3.02, or 11.3.03 installations in your environment, manually replace the certificates as explained in the following section:
- Stop the Proxy service. For more information on stopping App Visibility services, see
Starting and stopping the App Visibility server services.
- Stop the Elasticsearch service. For more information on stopping App Visibility services, see
Starting and stopping the App Visibility server services.
- Go to <proxy_installationDirectory>/apm-proxy/elasticsearch/config, and make a backup of the following files:
- CN=apm.bmc.com-keystore.jks
- CN=sgadmin-keystore.jks
- truststore.jks
- elasticsearch.yml
- Replace these files with the new files attached here:
- CN=apm.bmc.com-keystore.jks
- CN=sgadmin-keystore.jks
- truststore.jks
Edit the elasticsearch.yml file as explained below and save the file:
