BMC Server Automation provisioning issues

The section provides information about issues that you might experience when using the BMC Server Automation with TrueSight Infrastructure Management to provision products installed in the Infrastructure Management PATROL Repository.

Error messages when connecting to BMC Server Automation

The following error messages might be displayed when you run the pw blade test command to verify the connection between TrueSight Infrastructure Management and BMC Server Automation.

MessageLogin failed: Connection timed out.

Explanation: It is possible that there is a connection error with the BMC Server Automation agent.

User Response: Perform the following tasks: 

  • Ensure that the BMC Server Automation Application Server process is started.
  • Ensure that the BMC Server Automation agent is installed on the same host computer as the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server. 
  • Ensure that the BMC Server Automation agent is licensed properly.
  • Ensure that the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server process is started.

MessageLogin failed: Connection refused

Explanation: It is possible that there is a connection error with the BMC Server Automation agent.

User Response: Ensure that the BMC Server Automation Application Server process is started.
