Changing the IP address of Infrastructure Management Server

You might need to change your IP address for the self-monitoring service if you are using a Network Address Translation (NAT) firewall, or you have a connectivity issue.

To change the IP address of the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server

  1. From the Administration Console, select Advanced Options > Agent.
  2. Right-click Infrastructure Management Server, and select Edit.
  3. In the Edit Remote Agent dialog box, replace the DNS Name/IP address with the new IP address.
  4. Click OK to close the dialog box and save your changes.
  5. Restart the self-monitoring service.

    Hello,

I need to change the defined IP address for the infrastructure management server, but I cannot access the console in order to change it.

Do you have any CLI command I can issue on the linux server itself to correct this? Or perhaps a config file I need to modify?

Hello Ali. I checked and there seem to be no other options to change the IP address. I suggest that you reach out to Support for further analysis.

        Hello Sanjay,

We currently do not have support. How would support have directed me? If there's any KB article, instructions, or pages in the documentation that cover this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance :)
