pserver

Use the pserver command to start the Publishing Service service.

pserver [-b psname] [-c ConfigFile] [-d] [-h|-?] [-q] [-l HomeLocation] {-p "Var=Value"} [-v] [-z]

The following table lists the options for the pserver command.

No command options are required for the pserver command.

pserver command options

Options	Description
`<common options> -? -c -h -p -q -v -z`	See Common command options for Publishing Server CLIs.
`{{-d}}`	On UNIX platforms, causes the BMC Impact Publishing Server to run in the foreground and print log messages to the console, instead of running as a daemon in the background. On Windows platforms with the pserver CLI, the publishing server always runs in the foreground but requires this option to print log messages to the console. `-b <psname>`	Identifies the name of the BMC Impact Publishing Server; defaults to ps_hostname
