pserver

Use the pserver command to start the Publishing Service service.

pserver syntax

pserver [-b psname] [-c ConfigFile] [-d] [-h|-?] [-q] [-l HomeLocation] {-p "Var=Value"} [-v] [-z]

On UNIX platforms, causes the BMC Impact Publishing Server to run in the foreground and print log messages to the console, instead of running as a daemon in the background.

On Windows platforms with the pserver CLI, the publishing server always runs in the foreground but requires this option to print log messages to the console.

-b <psname>

Identifies the name of the BMC Impact Publishing Server; defaults to ps_hostname
