Viewing group details

For detailed analysis and remediation, the Group Details page on the TrueSight console provides you with comprehensive information about each group.

Information displayed in the Group Details page

The Group Details page displays the group name, type, and description .

The number of monitors, devices, subgroups, and applications associated with the group are indicated by numbers. Click the number to view the relevant information in the tabs below.

Use the collapse option  to collapse the group summary and event summary area to gain more display area for information in tabs.

The group summary and event summary area stays in view while you scroll through the group details page. 

Click the help icon  to launch context-sensitive help.

To view events using the events matrix

The event status and severity matrix  displays the number of events in each status and severity.

Click any event count in the matrix to display the relevant events in the Events tab.

Summary of the tabs in the Group Details page

The tabs in the Group Details page provide the following information:

Events

Displays all the events that are associated with the group. For more information, see Understanding event states.

By default, events of Critical, Major, Minor, Warning, and Information severity and Open, Acknowledged, and Assigned status are displayed.

To view events of a specific status and severity, click the appropriate event count in the events matrix.

Use the event action menu, event toolbar, or the Event Details page to perform event operations such as manage event ownership, set event priority, export event details, and so on.

ApplicationsDisplays all the applications to which this group is associated.
Sub GroupsDisplays all the subgroups that are part of the group. Click a subgroup name to drill down for more information.
DevicesDisplays all the devices that are associated with the group. For more information, see Viewing device details.
MonitorsDisplays all the monitors that are associated with the group. For more information, see Viewing monitor information.
Total MonitorsDisplays the total number of unique monitors associated with the group and its subgroups.

Changing the view on the Group Details page

You can change the view on the Monitors, Devices, and Sub Groups tabs.

Use the action menu in each tab to change and sort the view. See changing the view on the devices and groups page.
