Discrete service models

A service model in which all the CIs are created on a single Infrastructure Management Server is called a discrete service model. The number of CIs in a discrete model is limited to the maximum number of CIs supported by Infrastructure Management. For information about the maximum number of CIs supported, see Sizing and scalability considerations for Infrastructure Management Open link . If the number of CIs in the service model is within the limit supported by a single server, the service model must be present on a single Infrastructure Management Server. BMC recommends that discrete service models be deployed for optimal performance and scalability.
