21.02 enhancements

This section covers new features, enhancements, and changes in PATROL Agent version 21.02.

Limit agent cache size

By default, the PATROL Agent caches data messages for 1 hour and metric messages for 30 mins when it is unable to connect to BMC Helix Operations Management. After the maximum caching time period lapses, each time, the PATROL Agent deletes the oldest metric message to accommodate new messages in the metric queue and discards the data queue until it can connect to BMC Helix Operations Management again, which controls the queue size from growing indefinitely.
