Upgrading

This section describes how to upgrade the PATROL Agent from its previous version.

When deploying a new version of PATROL Agent, perform the following sequence of steps:

  1. Stop the PATROL Agent. For more information, see Starting and stopping the PATROL Agent.
  2. You can upgrade the PATROL Agent as explained in the Installing section, as no additional steps are required to upgrade. 
  3. Once the upgrade is completed, start the PATROL Agent. For more information, see Starting and stopping the PATROL Agent.

Notes

  • Review PATROL Agent upgrade considerations Open link before upgrading the PATROL Agent.
  • You can also upgrade the PATROL Agent from the TrueSight console. For more information, see Upgrading PATROL Agents using the TrueSight console Open link .
  • If you are using TrueSight Capacity Optimization, review the supported operating systems for Capacity Agent component of TrueSight Capacity Optimization and PATROL Agent before upgrading them. For more information, see the following:
