BMC PATROL for Light Weight Protocols 3.0

Upgrading

When upgrading to a new version of PATROL for Light Weight Protocols in any of the following environments, there are no additional steps to upgrade. 

  • PATROL 
  • ProactiveNet Performance Management 
  • TrueSight (while using the TrueSight console)

You can deploy PATROL for Light Weight Protocols as discussed in the Installing section.

Important information

Metadata changes between versions 2.0.10 and 2.1.00 might cause errors in the TrueSight environment, such as unable to view the proper title or unit on the graph.

As a best practice, have one version of a particular KM under a TrueSight Presentation Server. Do not have a combination of two versions of a KM under the same Presentation Server.

Review thresholds and modify them appropriately, if you had set values for the previous KM version.
