System requirements

Support for third-party products

To receive full support for a BMC product, you must have that product installed in a supported environment, as specified in the BMC product documentation. If a third-party vendor cancels support for one of its products (such as an operating system or subsystem), and that third-party product integrates or interacts with the BMC product you have licensed, you must upgrade to a supported version of that third-party product before BMC Customer Support can provide you with support for the affected BMC product. For further information, see BMC's product support policy. Open link

Question: How many host can be added to single patrol agent.

Answer : There is no limitation on a basis of number of host can be added on single patrol agent. Its about how many object monitoring load you can put on that agent.

e.g, in one scenario if each iSeries host configured for small number of total objects then we can add more host in compare with another scenario in which each host configured for large number of object monitoring.

Question: Will the KM version 4.2.30 work with the BMC_TSIM 4.2.20 libraries on the LPARs or do both sides need to be upgraded at the same time?

KM version 4.2.30 will work with BMC_TSIM 4.2.20 library files but if you want to monitor newly introduced IFS class then you must upgrade on both side.
