System requirements

This topic lists the minimum requirements and supported resources for the  PATROL for iSeries product.

Before installing PATROL for iSeries, verify that the target computer meets the installation requirements listed in the following table.

User privileges

User profile must have the following minimum privileges:

  • User class: *USER
  • Special Authority: *NONE
  • Authority: *USE (for objects that the KM will monitor)

Disk space

  • PATROL Agent components: 137 MB
  • PATROL console components: 45 MB
  • Console Server components: 44 MB

Browser

This product uses PATROL Installation Utility 9.6.00 or later, which requires a browser. For a list of supported browsers, see the PATROL Installation Utility online documentation.

    In connection to port.

    Why is not there listed port that we need to open based on your support? Situation changed?

    • For Secured communication:

    8472 - Data Queues (as-dtaq) - non SSL

    • For Non-secured communication:

    9472 - Data Queues (as-dtaq) - SSL

      Thank you for the comment, David. 

      Currently, we do not support monitoring of data queues. Hence, we have not included the 8472 and 9472 port in the list.
