Windows Service (NT_SERVICES)
Creates instances when new services are installed on the SCM, and destroys instances when an existing service is removed from the SCM.
Note
The Windows Service monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the NT_SERVICES application class in BMC PATROL.

The following information is displayed on the NT_SERVICES InfoBox:
Item | Description |
Icon type | the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, parameter) |
State | the current state of the object |
Application class | name of the application class |
Default user name | the default PATROL user name, if any |
Worst parameter | the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any |
History retention | the length of time history is retained |
Display Name | the name displayed for the service |
Service Name | name of the service |
Startup | lists the startup type of the service:

Log On As | the user or system account the service used to log on |
Depend on Group | lists the service group on which this service depends; that is, at least one of the services in the group must start before this service can be started |
Depend on Services | list of the services that must start before this service, if any |
Controls Accepted | indicates whether the stop, pause, continue, and shutdown notification commands will be accepted by this service |
Image Path | the name of the executable that controls the service |
Dependent Services | lists the services that depend on this service; that is, this service must be running before the dependent service can be started |
Error Control | specifies the severity of the error if this service fails to start during startup and determines the action taken by the startup program if failure occurs |
Instance Name | the name of the NT_SERVICES application instance |
NT KM version | the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use |
