Paging File (NT_PAGEFILE)

Monitors and provides information about memory swapping and paging activities.


The Paging File monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the NT_PAGEFILE application class in BMC PATROL.


The following information is displayed on the NT_PAGEFILE InfoBox:



History retention

the length of time history is retained

Worst parameter

the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any
If more than one parameter is in a warning or an alarm state, the parameter with the most severe problems is shown

Default user name

the default PATROL user name, if any

Application class

name of the application class


the current state of the object

Icon type

the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, parameter)

Full Paging File Name

the file name of the pagefile for the selected instance

Peak Paging File Usage (%)

the amount, in percentage, of the page file used by the system

Instance Name

the name of the NT_PAGEFILE instance used by PATROL to identify the pagefile

NT KM version

the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use
