Machine Authentication Failure (AdAuMachineAuthentication)
Reports occurrences of machine authentication failures. Machine-level authentication is performed when Internet Protocol security is used.
This parameter monitors the error Event ID 5805 in the System event log. The event source is NETLOGON.
Failure of a machine to authenticate is usually caused either by multiple instances of the same computer name or by a computer name that has not replicated to every domain controller.
Note
The Machine Authentication Failure attribute in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the AdAuMachineAuthentication parameter in BMC PATROL.
