Windows Event Log (NT_EVENTLOG)
By default, enables you to monitor and manage the following Windows event logs, as well as any event log that is registered in the Windows registry.

- Directory Service
- DNS Server
- File Replication Services
Note
The Windows Event Log monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the NT_EVENTLOG application class in BMC PATROL.
InfoBox
The following information is displayed on the NT_EVENTLOG InfoBox:
Item | Description |
---|---|
Icon type | the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, and parameter) |
State | the current state of the object |
Application class | the name of the application class |
Default user name | the default PATROL user name, if any |
Worst parameter | the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any; if more than one parameter is in a warning or an alarm, the parameter with the most severe problems is shown |
History retention | the length of time history is retained |
NT KM version | the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use |
