JRE Configuration dialog box

By default, BMC PATROL for VMware vSphere uses Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that is installed with the PATROL Agent. However, you can configure BMC PATROL for VMware vSphere to use your own JRE.

Use this dialog box to specify a different Java home directory. Right-click the VSM application class > KM Commands > Set JAVA Home menu command.

This dialog box contains the following item:

Specify JRE Version 1.7 or later

Enter the complete path for the Java home directory if you are not using the JRE that is installed with the PATROL Agent

For example:
If the JRE files reside at C:\temp\jre\bin\java.exe location then specify the path as C:\temp\jre.

If you have specified a different path in this field, restart the BMC PATROL Agent to apply the changes.
