ESX Performance Metrics Collection Status (CollectionStatus)

Displays the collection status of distributed or failover data collection for an ESX server.
Status values include:

  • 0 - Online - indicates that the data is being collected from the ESX server
  • 1 - Offline - indicates that an error occurred while collecting data from the ESX server
  • 2 - Fault - indicates that a runtime fault occurred while collecting data from the ESX server
  • 3 - Unsupported - indicates that the ESX server is not supported

Note

  • The ESX Performance Metrics Collection Status attribute in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as CollectionStatus parameter in BMC PATROL.
  • This parameter is active only when the ESX server is configured for failover or distributed data collection.
  • When this parameter is in the alarm state, an annotation point is created that provides additional information.
