Configuration variables

The following pconfig parameters are required to configure PATROL Console Manager:

/ARS/Defaults/debugFlag

Debugging option for all the Remedy AR System environments running on the specified PATROL Agent.

  • 0: Disables debugging specified
  • 1: Enables debugging
/ARS/Defaults/JAVA_HOME

The Java Home directory for all the Remedy AR System environments running on the PATROL Agent.

/ARS/Forms/formList

A comma separated list of all added System forms with its user-defined labels for all the Remedy AR System environments running on the specified PATROL Agent.

/ARS/Forms/<User label >/formName

Name of the BMC Remedy AR System form.

/ARS/Forms/<User label >/searchCriteria

Search criteria valid for the form.

/ARS/Forms/<User label >/valueType
  • 1: delta value  
  • 2: absolute value
/ARS/Systems/SystemList

A comma separated list of all the Remedy AR System environments running on the specified PATROL Agent.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/debugFlag

Debugging option for all the Remedy AR System environment you are monitoring.

  • 0: Disables debugging 
  • 1: Enables debugging
/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/formList

A comma separated list of all forms you want to monitor for the environment.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/groupName

Self-discovered group name of the Remedy AR System environment.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/JAVA_HOME

The Java Home directory for the Remedy AR System environments you are monitoring.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/overrideServerIp

The IP address of the Remedy AR Server. If you have specified an alias name in the serverName variable, then you must specify the IP address of the Remedy AR Server in the overrideServerIp variable.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/serverName

The Remedy AR Server name you want to monitor.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/serverPort

The port number for the Remedy AR Server connection.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/setI2dFlag

For displaying monitor instance as a device in the Operations Console. 

  • 0: disables device mapping
  • 1: enables device mapping
/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/username

The user name with which you login to the Remedy AR Server.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/threads.cycle.ARAvailabilityThread

Collection cycle for Remedy AR Server availability in seconds.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/threads.cycle.ARDiscoveryThread

Collection cycle for Remedy AR Server discovery in seconds.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/threads.cycle.ARFormThread

Collection cycle for Remedy AR Server form monitoring in seconds.

/ARS/Systems/<User Environment >/threads.cycle.ARStatisticsThread

Collection cycle for Remedy AR Server Statistics in seconds.

/SecureStore/ARS_GROUP/<User Environment>/password

The actual password of the referenced user.

/SecureStore/ARS_GROUP/<User Environment>/authKey

The actual authentication key of the referenced user.
