Smallest Free Space Available in Temporary Tablespaces (TempTSLeft)

Warning

This feature is no longer supported by the KM version 9.7.11.03. For more information see, 9.7.11.03: Fix Pack 3 for BMC PATROL for Oracle Database.

This parameter displays the space left in the temporary tablespaces (both DMTS and LMTS). The calculations include both extensible and non-extensible datafiles and temp files. TempTSLeft will go into warning when the space left in the TEMPORARY tablespace has less then 10MB left, and will go into alarm when there is less than 5MB left.

This parameter considers tablespace, user and object exclusion in its calculations for warnings and alarms.

This parameter is supported if the instance uses ASM storage.

Situation

Monitoring status

No temporary tablespaces

Parameter is inactive

Temporary tablespaces exist, but have been excluded from monitoring

Instance with temporary tablespaces is remote

Calculations are based on the data in the Oracle tables rather than from the operating system

Tablespaces exist, are included in monitoring, are local instances, and OS KM is loaded

Parameter is active, and the calculation are based on data collected from OS KM

OS KM is loaded but FILESYSTEM parameters are offline

Parameter will be in OFFLINE state.

Recommendations
