Announcement Support for this product will end on December 22, 2025. To monitor Oracle databases, we recommend that you use PATROL for Oracle Enterprise Database.

Foreign Archived Log Percentage Used (ForeignArchiveLogUsage)

The values for this parameter is set from PERCENT_SPACE_USED column from V$FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA_USAGE view by referring FOREIGN ARCHIVED LOG file_type.

Note

If you resize the db_recovery_file_dest_size init.ora parameter value to a value that is less than what is been already occupied by database, you might get PERCENT_SPACE_USED value more than 100 % for ForeignArchiveLogUsage parameter. As v$flash_recovery_area_usage view does not exist in RDBMS version 10.1, this parameter is de-activated.

For Oracle 10.2, As FOREIGN ARCHIVED LOG file_type is missing in v$flash_recovery_area_usage view, so ForeignArchiveLogUsage parameter is de-activated.
