Fixing Oracle instance configuration failure
If there is a failure to configure an Oracle instance, review the following details:
- The PATROL OS Account or the account used from the PATROL Console has permissions to execute SQL*PLUS utility commands.
- The privileged account used for the instance configuration must have dba privileges.
- The PATROL OS Account must be able to open a SQL*PLUS connection to the Oracle database.
- Confirm that the DEFAULT and TEMPORARY Tablespace for the database monitoring user includes the correct tablespace information.
- While manually adding instances from the PATROL Console for configuration, do not provide a service name for a local instance.
