Monitor types and attributes

The following monitor types (application classes) are available in PATROL for Linux and PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization KM:

Terminology note

Monitor types in the TrueSight console, BMC Helix Operations Management, and Central Monitoring Administration are known as application classes in the PATROL Consoles. Attributes in Central Monitoring Administration are known as parameters in the PATROL consoles. You can access Central Monitoring Administration from the TrueSight console or ProactiveNet.

PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization

The PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization KM discovers and monitors the data centers, clusters, storage domains, hosts, and virtual machines. The KM monitors the CPU and memory usage of the virtual machines, state and incoming/outing packets of the network interface controllers, host status, storage capacity and other aspects of your RHEV environment. Use the following monitor types to monitor your RHEV environment:
