FTP Server (INET_Ftp_Server)
Prediscovery
Prediscovery quickly determines whether Internet servers can be monitored on a machine by checking the platform type. If the platform is Unix or Windows, the application is activated.
Discovery
Discovery watches for changes to configurations of monitored FTP servers. The configuration checks are performed during full discovery cycles or when the configuration has been updated.

The INET_Ftp_Server application InfoBox has the following items:

InfoBox Item | Description |

KM Version | Version of the BMC PATROL for Internet Servers that is currently in use. |
Host | Host name of the parent application instance. |
Port | Port number of the server. |
Protocol | Protocol used by the server. |
Type | Server type for the monitored server. |
Connect Message | Text of the server connect message received during the last successful connection to the server. |
Attributes (parameters)
The following attributes are available for this monitor type:
- configureLocal (INET_Ftp_Server)
- Standard Deviation of FTP Response Time (ftpResponseTimeStdDeviation)
- Down Time for the FTP Server (ftpDownTime)
- Login Status from the FTP Server (ftpLoginStatus)
- FTP Response Time (ftpResponseTime)
- FTP Server Status (ftpStatus)
- Description of Errors generated in ftpMonitor (ftpMonitor)
- Description of Errors generated in processMonitor (processMonitor)
- Connection Status from the FTP Server (ftpStatusCode)
