Checking critical files

To ensure proper functioning of your BMC PATROL for Internet Servers installation, you can check that critical files have been installed on your system. The following table shows critical files and they should have been installed:

INETRdAccLog (Unix) INETRdAccLog.exe (Windows)

Reads the access log on.

INETRdErrLog (Unix) INETRdErrLog.exe (Windows)

Reads the error log.

INET_iisprobe.exe (Windows)

Reads the IIS metabase.

INET_libbind.dll (Windows)

The DLL for INET_Dns_Server.km.

INETDigest.exe (Windows)

Handles digest authentication.

PATROL_HOME/lib/ psl/ target

INETClient.xpc

XPC communications client. <target> indicates the STDOUT returned from the target shell script located in the PATROL installation directory. It indicates the OS being used by PATROL.

INETExtendedSSL.xpc

 

PATROL_HOME/INET

INETLinkParse.exe (Windows) INETLinkParse (Unix)

Parses HTML links.

PATROL_HOME/ INET/ssl/bin

bmcsslDomestic.dll

SSL encryption library (Windows NT/Windows 2000).

bmcsslDomestic.so

SSL encryption library (Unix).

INETBmcKeyCli.exe (Windows) INETBmcKeyCli (Unix)

Used to support client SSL certificates.
