Hadoop monitor type

The Hadoop monitor type is used to setup a policy to monitor Hadoop system. Upon selecting this system, it enables the allocated agents to load monitors according to the list below. This KM collects a large variety of metrics on Hadoop systems.

Tip

When a policy is enabled to monitor Hadoop data nodes, then for each data node a set of monitoring parameters are enabled. One of the advantage for monitoring Hadoop systems is for ‘Availability’, monitoring Hadoop in availability mode allows the KM to enable the following monitoring types:
Data Node, JobHistory Node, JobTracker Node, Journal Node, Name Node, NodeManager Node, ResourceManager Node, Secondary Name Node and TaskTracker Node.

To know more information about each monitor type and attribute, see Monitor-types-and-attributes.
