Filtering the displayed devices by device type

This command filters the device types displayed by PATROL for Entuity Server. This command does not affect the monitoring of device types by the Entuity server.

To filter the devices for all the Entuity servers monitored by all Entuity server account instances

1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click Entuity.
2. Choose KM Commands > PATROL KM Administration > Filters >Device Type.
3. In the Setup Device Name filtering dialog box, select one of the following:
   • Select Network Devices: To select only network devices (Default out-of-the-box option)
   • Select All: To select to display all of the device types monitored by the Entuity server, and you have at least Read permission for.
   • Select None: To select no device types to be displayed.
   • Device Types: Select one or more device types to be displayed.
4. Click Ok to confirm your selections and close the window.

To filter the devices for a specific Entuity server account

1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click an Entuity server account instance.
2. Choose KM Commands > PATROL KM Administration > Filters >Device Type.
3. In the Setup Device Name filtering dialog box, select one of the following:
   • Select Network Devices: To select only network devices (Default out-of-the-box option)
   • Select All: To select to display all of the device types monitored by the Entuity server, and you have at least Read permission for.
   • Select None: To select no device types to be displayed.
   • Device Types: Select one or more device types to be displayed.
4. Click Ok to confirm your selections and close the window.
