Upgrading

When you upgrade the PATROL for IBM DB2 from 9.6.10/9.6.10.01/9.6.20 to PATROL for IBM DB2 9.6.21, the registered environment's old pconfig variables will be converted to new variables which in turn enables the DB2 9.6.21 to discover all the configured environments in the old KM.

The following old KM installation files will be deleted by the KM after the upgrade:

DB2_BLACKOUT.km

DB2_CUSTOM_SQL.km

DB2_QUERYTIME.km

DB2_SQL_CONTAINER.km

DB2_BLACKOUT.xml

DB2_CUSTOM_SQL.xml

DB2_QUERYTIME.xml

DB2_SQL_CONTAINER.xml

PSOBlackOut.lib

PSOCustomSQL.lib

pso_ruleSet.cfg

Note

  • History will not be saved after the upgrade.
  • Each pconfig entry from the older version which is not configured using TrueSight console will be created newly for the new version with BMC_FORCE prefix.
    For example: "/PSO/DB2/RemoteUnix/<<environmentname>>/BMC_FORCE/parameters/ConnToDBOK/excludeAlarmList"
  • After upgrade, policies configured on version 9.6.10/9.6.10.01 works fine with KM version 9.6.21. However you cannot create policies on the same PATROL Agent with different KM versions.
