Menu commands

The following menu commands are available for the PATROL for IBM DB2:

Menu commandDescription
Register DB2 monitoring

Allows you to configure the DB2 environment in Remote Windows DB2 environment, Remote Unix DB2 environment, Local DB2 environment and in DB2 database.

LoggingEnables the main PSL logging. The file is located under: Patrol3/log/PSO_<DB type>_main-<Agent host>-<Agent port>.kmlog

Edit DB2 environmentAllows you to edit the environment configuration details.
Unregister DB2 environmentAllows you to unregister the DB2 environment.
KM AdministrationSubmenu that contains multiple KM commands related to KM Administration.

Menu commandDescription
Force discoveryForces to discover all the components of the environment hierarchy.
Restart monitoringRestarts the monitoring of the environment. It stops the external backend processes and destroys the environment monitoring instance from console. It creates the environment instance again and starts the external backend collector of the instance to start the monitoring from the beginning.
Define JVM argumentsAllows you to define JVM arguments. When the KM runs Java, the KM can provide the defined arguments to it.
DB2 diagnostic reportsCreates a diagnostic report of the environment. The output will be saved in a xml file at <Patrol Home>/Patrol3/pso/report/diag/<<environment name>>_DiagnosticReport.xml.
Logging

Enables debugging operations for configured environment. This enables the PSL and Java logging of the specified environment.

The PSL debug file of the environment is located under:

Patrol3/log/PSO_<DB type>^<environment name>-<Agent host>-<Agent port>.kmlog

The Java debug file of the environment is located under:

Patrol3/pso/logs/java/<DB type>^<environment>_<Agent port>_JavaCollector.log
