Configuring after installation

This section provides information about tasks that you must perform after installation and before you can start using the product. Here you can find information about monitoring profiles and the associated monitor types available in the PATROL for Application Management. This section also provides instructions on configuring the monitor types by using the Central Monitoring Administration Console.

Notes

  • If you are integrating PATROL for Application Management with TrueSight Infrastructure Management, only perform the configuration through the Central Monitoring Administration console. For more information, see the  TrueSight Infrastructure Management Open link .
  • If your Execution Plan interval is set to two minutes or less, the first few results may not be visible.

The following table lists the monitoring profiles that you can configure by using Central Monitoring Administration. If a monitor type in the PATROL for Application Management contains "No" in the "Can the monitoring profile be manually configured?" column, it means that this monitor type is automatically configured by Central Monitoring Administration.

Monitor types are referred to as application classes in the PATROL environment. Multiple application classes grouped together comprise a monitoring profile.
