The Roles tab allows you to edit roles and assign user groups as explained in the following sections :

Icons and associated functions on the Roles tab

The Roles tab allows you to manage role and user group associations. To access this tab, navigate to Administration > Roles. From here, you can perform the following actions:

Edit Role

Edit the selected role and modify the user group associations.

The Roles tab provides the following information:

Field

Description

Role Name

Name of the role–Super Admin, App Admin, and Troubleshooter.

User Groups

List of user groups associated with the role.

Editing roles

To edit a role, on the Administration > Roles tab, click Edit Role, provide the following information, and click Update.

Description

Role Name

Name of the role – Super Admin, App Admin, or Troubleshooter.

This field is disabled by default.

User Groups

Type the user group name that you want to associate with the role.

You can see type-ahead suggestions matching with the user group name that you typed.

These names are displayed based on whether you are using TrueSight IT Data Analytics or Remedy Single Sign-On to manage user authorizations.

  • If you are using TrueSight IT Data Analytics: You can see all the user group names that are available in the system.
  • If you are using Remedy Single Sign-On: You can see all the user groups configured in Remedy Single Sign-On.
    To be able to see a list of user groups configured in Remedy Single Sign-On, you must have already configured Remedy Single Sign-On while installing the Console Server or by running the enablesso CLI command CLI command. For more information, see
