enablesso CLI command

Use this command to integrate the TrueSight IT Data Analytics server with the Remedy Single Sign-On server.

Syntax

Note

Before you run the command, note the following points:

enablesso -d <FQDN of ITDA server> -l [locale] -p <ITDA Server port> -s [Protocol to connect with IT Data Analytics] -sd <rsso host FQDN> -sp <RSSO port> -ss [RSSO protocol] -sw <RSSO superuserpassword> -tenant [tenant name in RSSO] -tsps <FQDN of server where TSPS is installed> -ts[Protocol to connect with TSPS] -u <ITDA username> -w <ITDA password>

  • Angle brackets (< >) indicate a variable value that needs to be user defined.

  • Square brackets ([ ]) indicate optional parameters.

The following table describes the parameters used in the syntax:

-d
Host name of the Console Server.
-l

(Optional) Indicates the locale in which you want to display messages when the command is run.

You can set one of the following locales:

  • English
  • Simplified Chinese
  • German
  • French

By default, the messages are displayed in the locale of the system on which the CLI is run.

The value can be set to one of the following depending on the locale you choose:

  • English: en
  • Simplified Chinese: chs
  • German: de
  • French: fr

Example: If you want to set the locale as Simplified Chinese, you need to specify, l=chs.

-p
Port number of the Console Server.
-s

(Optional) Protocol to connect with the TrueSight IT Data Analytics.

By default, the value is HTTP.

Use this option to change the protocol. E.g. http|https

-sd
Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the Remedy Single Sign-On server.
-sp

Port number of the Remedy Single Sign-On server.

The default port is 8443.

-ss

(Optional) Protocol to connect with the Remedy Single Sign-On server.

By default, the value is HTTPS.

-sw

Password for connecting with the Remedy Single Sign-On server (specified in the plain text format) for username Admin. TrueSight IT Data Analytics supports only an Admin user

The password for the default username is the same as that, which you provided while installing the Remedy Single Sign-On server.

-tenant

(Optional) Name of the tenant (also known as Realm in Remedy Single Sign-On) that you configured while integrating TrueSight IT Data Analytics with TrueSight Operations Management. For more information, see Integrating with TrueSight Presentation Server.

By default, the value is set to *.

Note: If you are entering * explicitly, ensure that it is enclosed in single quotes.

-tsps

Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the server where TrueSight Presentation Server (TSPS) is installed.

In case of TrueSight Presentation server High Availability, the FQDN of the Load Balancer should be provided.

-u

Admin username of TrueSight IT Data Analytics.

-w

Admin Password of TrueSight IT Data Analytics.

-pt 
The TrueSight Presentation Server port.
-ts 

(Optional)The protocol to connect with TrueSight Presentation Server.

By default, the value is HTTPS.

If there is a failure in the execution of the enablesso CLI command, a backup of the olaengineCustomConfig.property file is created in the location ITDA Installation Directory>\custom\bkp_conf\.

Example inputs

The following example provides the input for enabling Remedy Single Sign-On:

enablesso -d clm-pun-02115.bmc.com -p 9797 -sd clm-02778.bmc.com -sp 8080 -ss http|https(default) -sw RSSO#Admin# -tsps clm-pun-02445.bmc.com -ts http|https(default) –u admin –w admin12345 –pt 443
