Service dashboard


As a tenant administrator, editor, or viewer, you can use the Service dashboard to track various KPIs for a selected service and view metrics from the following products:

  • BMC Helix Operations Management
  • BMC Helix Incident Management
  • BMC Helix AIOps

This dashboard uses services created in BMC Helix AIOps. 

To view data in this dashboard, ensure that at least one service is present in BMC Helix AIOps.

This dashboard uses the BMC Helix data source. The query types used for each panel are different.

Service Name

Provides a list of services from BMC Helix AIOps whose data you can view.

Select a service from this list.

Latest Health Score

Displays the latest value of the health score metric.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix AIOps.

Number of Situations

Displays the number of situations generated in a selected time range.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix AIOps.

Scheduled Availability

Displays the percentage of the scheduled availability of services.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Actual Availability

Displays the percentage of the actual availability of services.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Event Categories

Displays the number of open events according to their classes.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Operations Management.

Service State

Displays the number of open events according to their severity.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Operations Management.

Health Score, Events, and Incidents

Graphically displays the number of major, minor, and critical events, incidents, and the health score.

This panel uses the Events and Metric query types to fetch data from BMC Helix Operations Management and BMC Helix Incident Management.

Open Events

Displays the total number of open events.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Operations Management.

Closed Events

Displays the total number of closed events.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Operations Management.

Total Outage Duration

Displays the total outage duration of the selected service in hours.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Avg Outage Duration

Displays the average outage duration of the selected service in a selected time range in hours.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

MTBF

Displays the mean time between failures (MTBF) in hours.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

MTTR

Displays the mean time to resolve (MTTR) an issue in hours.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Open Incidents

Displays the number of open incidents.

This panel uses the Events query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Avg Open Incident Age

Displays the average open incident age in a selected time range.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Met SLA

Displays the percentage of times that the SLA was met for change requests.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Open Service Requests

Displays the number of open service requests.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Active Change Requests

Displays the number of active change requests.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.

Scheduled Change Requests

Displays the number of change requests that are scheduled to be resolved.

This panel uses the Metric query type to fetch data from BMC Helix Incident Management.


To view the dashboard

  1. On the left navigation pane, hover your mouse over the Dashboards icon  and click Manage.
  2. Click the TBD folder and then click Service.

Tip: Quick access from the home page

To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.
