BMC Helix ITSM Change dashboard

As a dashboard user, you can use the Change dashboard to track KPI metrics of a change request such as number of change requests resolved per month, number of change requests resolved by different coordinator groups, and number of problem tickets created by unplanned change requests.

Example: Change dashboard

Bob, the Change Manager, wants to see the performance of the Networking coordinator group. For this, Bob can access the Change Dashboard to get the number of change requests resolved by the Networking coordinator group. 

The following image shows the Change Dashboard with sample data:

To view the dashboard

  1. On the left navigation pane, hover your mouse over the Dashboards icon and click Manage.
  2. Click the Helix ITSM folder and then click Change Dashboard.

    Tip: Quick access from the home page

    To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.

Panels in the Change dashboard

Dashboard filters

Displays the filters to view the information on the dashboard. You can filter the data on the Change dashboard by Coordinator Group. Additionally, you can filter the data by using the date and time range global filter. By default, the search result displays the data of last 30 days.


No. of Change requests resolved per month

Displays the number of change requests resolved in a particular month of a year.

You can click the bar charts to view the change details. The change details are displayed in the Drill through -Change Details dashboard.



Trend of Change requests resolved by Change coordinator group

Displays the number of change requests resolved by a particular coordinator group.

Change Crosstab - Submitter and Change coordinator group

Displays the number of change requests that are closed, based on the following parameters in a cross-tab:

  • Submitter
  • Coordinator Group

Change Crosstab - Product and Change coordinator Group

Displays the number of change requests that are closed gand completed, based on the following parameters:

  • Product Name
  • Submitter
  • Coordinator Group

Change Crosstab - Product categorization and Change coordinator group

Displays the number of change requests that are closed and completed, based on the following parameters:

  • Product Categorization
  • Product Name
  • Coordinator Group

Problem requests from Unplanned Change requestsDisplays the problem tickets created from unplanned change requests.
