7.8.02: Service Pack 2
This topic contains information about updates and enhancements in this service pack, and provides instructions for downloading and installing the service pack.
This release includes the following enhancements.
Japanese localization of the Operator Control Panel
The Operator Control Panel can now be optionally installed as Japanese “Language Enabled,” meaning all Operator Control Panel menu items, screens, and messages are displayed in Japanese.
For more information on installing the Japanese localized Operator Control Panel, see the following pages:
Non-English versions of the Operator Control Panel must be installed on servers set up for the associated locale.
The service pack includes the following performance improvements:
- Schedules tab: The performance of the Schedules tab in the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Grid Manager has been optimized, providing a much faster screen loading time.
- Repository Manager: The performance of the Repository Manager interface has been optimized to better support organizations that have large number of modules defined, providing a much faster screen loading time.
The release includes the following security updates:
- Support for ActiveMQ version 5.13.0
- Support for Java 8 (SE runtime version 1.8.0_66)
- Support for Apache Tomcat 8.0.30
The following secure transport protocol and cipher suites changes are included in this release:
- The supported cipher suites have changed
For a list of supported cipher suites, see Cipher suites for 7.8.02 and later.
- Support is discontinued for SSL transport protocols
For information about supported transport protocols and configuring your BMC Atrium Orchestrator environment to use them, see Configuring the UI communication channels (Tomcat) and Configuring the internal communication channel (CDP, HA-CDP, AP, and LAP ports).
Configuring workflows to convert JSON to XML
Users can configure existing and new workflows to convert JSON data to XML data. This allows workflows that interact with third party REST services (that use JSON data) to convert the data to XML, so that any required XSLT and XPATH operations can be performed. Users can also convert XML data to JSON before sending the request to a REST service.
For more information, see Configuring a workflow to convert JSON data to XML data.
This release includes fixes to several known issues. See Known and corrected issues for details.
Graphing server support discontinued
The graphing server component is no longer supported as of BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform version 7.8.02.
