Enhancements

Service pack 2 provides the following enhancements:

Migrate authentication and authorization data from Access Manager to the repository, CDP, and BMC Atrium Single Sign-On

When you upgrade from 7.6.02.06 or 7.6.03 to 7.7, the Access Manager component is replaced by BMC Atrium Single Sign-On. In earlier versions of BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform 7.7, you were required to manually create the user roles and permissions existing in Access Manager in BMC Atrium Single Sign-On. In this release, a migration utility/tool is provided, which exports all authentication data from Access Manager and then allows you to import the data in Grid Manager.

Importing certificates signed by a certificate authority after upgrading platform

After upgrading BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform, if the certificates in the platform server components trust store are signed by a locally trusted certificate authority and not by a recognized certificate authority, then you must import the signed certificates.

Supported upgrade paths

You can now upgrade from BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform 7.6.03 to 7.7 Service Pack 2.

Compatible BMC Atrium Single Sign-On version

BMC Atrium Single Sign-On Platform 7.7 Service Pack 2 is compatible with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On version 8.1.00.03 patch12.

If you are upgrading to BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform 7.7 Service Pack 2 from any earlier versions of the platform, ensure that you first upgrade to platform 7.6.02 Service Pack 6 and then upgrade to platform 7.7.
