In BMC PATROL, to stop running a parameter for selected computers or application instances. Suspending a parameter stops parameter commands and recovery actions but does not delete the parameter icon from the application instance window. Suspending a parameter also does not delete the parameter definition from the Knowledge Module (KM) tree in PATROL Consoles for Microsoft Windows environments. A suspended parameter can be resumed at any time. You can suspend a parameter from its pop-up menu. See also deactivate-a-parameter and snooze-an-alarm.
