deactivate a parameter
In BMC PATROL, to stop running a parameter for selected computer or application instances. In PATROL Consoles for Microsoft Windows environments, deactivating a parameter stops parameter commands and recovery actions. Deactivating a parameter also deletes the parameter icon from the application instance window without deleting the parameter definition in the KM tree. A deactivated parameter can be reactivated at any time. See also snooze-an-alarm and suspend-a-parameter.
