Common Data Model (CDM)

In BMC Atrium CMDB, an object-oriented, hierarchical set of classes used to represent types of configuration items and their relationships to each other. Class attributes store asset data (such as hardware information, service management information, and people information) and provide a mechanism for linking that information to provide a complete view of how all assets are connected and can affect each other. The CDM is based on industry standards such as the Common Information Model (CIM) and Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation.
