BMC SaaS Support Central self-service functions

Within Support Central > Case Management, there are self-service utilities that allow you to perform certain functions yourself, without involvement from the BMC SaaS Operations team. The following utilities are included:

In addition to incident and request management offerings, the BMC SaaS Support portal provides the following functions:

  • Change Calendar — Shown in a calendar view, this feature shows all change requests scheduled for your environments, including those initiated by BMC. The calendar shows a 90 day historical view, as well as all changes scheduled in the future. Select each change record from the calendar to get a detailed view of the request.
  • Service Status Dashboard — This dashboard features a modern interface to provide you with a detailed view into real-time usage metrics for your production BMC Helix ITSM and DWP services. Review transaction volumes, active and historical license purchases and consumption, login response times, support metrics and more, all from a single view. To get a brief summary of each metric, hover over a section on the page, or search for Interpreting your Service Status Dashboard from the main search window within the portal to review a comprehensive knowledge article. The profile icon in the upper right of the screen takes you to an overview of your purchased licenses, version numbers, BMC account contacts, and so on.
  • Contact Lists — This utility allows you to view and modify the contact lists that BMC uses for various notification types. You may view and modify (add/remove) contacts for general notifications, emergency contacts, maintenance contacts and change approvers. You may also view and remove registered support users.
  • Case Management Details — Conveniently view your draft cases, change requests, submitted support cases in one place with the ability to filter / search the view.
  • Lifecycle Requests — submit templated lifecycle requests, including administrative activities such as setting up your BMC Helix Client Gateway connectivity, setting up your authentication integration, and downloading BMC Security certifications/documentations for your audits. For more information, please visit Lifecycle Requests.
