Installing BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer in silent mode

If you want to install BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer in a large environment having multiple servers, you can run the installer in silent mode. Running the installer in silent mode allows for installation of BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer without user intervention.

For silent installation, you need to perform the following tasks:

Encrypt the BMC AR System password

You should use an encrypted password in place of the actual AR System server password. Using an encrypted password prevents a disclosure of the actual AR System server password.

Create the Options.txt file

Based on the ProcessDesigner-ini-template.txt file create the Options.txt file to specify installation options and parameters.

Run the installer
