Downloading the installation files

Components deployed through the container images

The following table lists the BMC Helix Service Management platform components and applications deployed through the container images:

Before you begin

• Make sure that your system meets the system requirements.

• Ensure that you can log on to EPD by using your Support user ID and password. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form. If you are accessing this site for the first time, create a new EPD profile to specify the languages and platforms that you want to download. For assistance with EPD, see EPD site help.

Installation files

Select the EPD link to download the product installation files.

To download the Git repositories and container access key

1. Log in to EPD.
   You must log in with your BMC Support ID.

2. Select Product Downloads > Product Download Tool.

1. On the All Products tab, in the search box, search for the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem product.

2. Click the 23.3.01 product version.

   Important

   Disable the pop up blocker. If the pop up blocker is enabled, it may block the downloading of files.

3. In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Container Access Key, and click Download.
   
   The container-token.bmc file is downloaded. The file contains the BMC Docker Trusted Registry (containers.bmc.com) token. This token is required as a password to pull images from containers.bmc.com during setting up a Harbor registry or when performing the installation.
4. In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Innovation Suite & Service Management Apps Security Hotfix 2 Version 23.3.01, and click Download. 
   
   The BMC_Helix_Innovation_Suite_And_Service_Management_Apps_Version_23.3.01.002.zip file contains the following files:

1. • BMC_Remedy_Deployment_Manager_Configuration_Release_23.3.01.002.zip—This file contains the installation artifacts.
   • image_pull_push.sh and image_sync_to_private_registry.sh—These files contain the scripts to synchronize your Harbor repository with BMC Helix Innovation Suite and BMC Helix Platform services container images in BMC DTR.

   • BMC_Remedy_Deployment_Engine_Setup_23.3.01.002.zip—Do not use this file.

     Important

     Do not use the BMC_Remedy_Deployment_Engine_Setup_23.3.01.002.zip file, instead use the BMC_Remedy_Deployment_Engine_Setup_23.3.01.001.zip file.

     
     

2. In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Deployment Engine 23301 Hotfix1, and click Download. 
   
   The BMC_Remedy_Deployment_Engine_Setup_23.3.01.001.zip file that contains BMC Deployment Engine setup files is downloaded.

1. Download the BMC Helix Platform services deployment files based on the BMC Helix Platform services version that you want to use.

   Important

   The BMC Helix Platform Services for Service Management package contains the same common services and data lake (BMC Helix Platform Common Services) that is a part of the BMC Deployment Manager deployment. If you have already installed BMC Helix IT Operations Management (BMC Helix ITOM), do not download this package.

   • In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Platform Common Services for Service Management Version 24.3.00, and click Download. 
     The helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-24.3.00-116.sh file that contains the Deployment Manager is downloaded.
     

   • In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Platform Services for Service Management Version 24.2.00, and click Download. 
     
     The helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-24.2.00.zip file that contains the Deployment Manager  helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-24.2.00.sh is downloaded.

   • In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Platform Services for Service Management Version 24.1.00, and click Download.

     

     The helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-24.1.00.zip file that contains the Deployment Manager helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-24.1.00-103.sh is downloaded.

   • In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Platform Services for Service Management Performance Hotfix Version 24.1.00, and click Download. 
     
     The helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-performance-hotfix-24.1.00.zip file is downloaded. The ZIP file contains the itom-predeploy-hotfix-24.1.00.001-11.tar.gz file that contains the latest deployment size templates and addresses the following issues:
   • DRJ71-10089
   • DRRE3-5316
   • DRRE3-5278
   • DRRE3-5353
     For more information about the issues, see Known-and-corrected-issues.
   • (If you are using disaster recovery) In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Platform Services for Service Management Disaster Recovery Hotfix Version 24.1.00, and click Download.
     
     The hotfix-24.1.00.004-12-Post.tar.gz file is downloaded. The file contains disaster recovery deployment security and performance enhancements.
2. Download the database dump files based on the database type you want to use.
   • To use a Microsoft SQL Server database, in the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Service Management MSSQL DB Dump Security Hotfix 2 Version 23.3.01, and click Download. 
     
     The BMC_Helix_Service_Management_MSSQL_DB_Dump_Version_23.3.01.002.zip file that contains the Microsoft SQL Server database dump files is downloaded.

1. • To use an Oracle database, in the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Service Management Oracle DB Dump Security Hotfix 2 SHA checksum Version 23.3.01, and click Download.
     
     The BMC_Helix_Service_Management_Oracle_DB_Dump_Version_23.3.01.002.zip file that contains the Oracle database dump files is downloaded.
     

   • To use a PostgreSQL database, in the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select BMC Helix Service Management Postgres DB Dump Security Hotfix 2 Version 23.3.01, and click Download.
     
     The BMC_Helix_Service_Management_Postgres_DB_Dump_Version_23.3.01.002.zip file that contains the PostgreSQL database dump files is downloaded.
     

     Important

     You do not need to download and restore database dump files while setting up a PostgreSQL database. The BMC Helix Service Management installation pipeline automatically restores a backup for a PostgreSQL database. You can download the database dump files and use for manual restore in case of any failures with the automated restore.

2. In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite OnPrem page, on the Product tab, select AR System Clients: Developer Studio, Data Import Version 23.3.01 - Windows, and click Download. 
   
   The ARSuiteKitDeveloperWindows23.3.01.zip file that contains the AR System clients installer is downloaded.
