Project setup phase


The target milestone for the project setup phase is the acceptance of this project by the teams responsible for BMC Service Management Cloud.

The following requests must be submitted by the Onboarding Team.

Request an onbmc user account

If you do not already have an onbmc domain account, request one to access OnDemand servers and file directories.

Request RDP access

You need a secure connection to the OnDemand servers. You can connect via RDP by first logging into the BMC VPN. RDP access uses your onbmc credentials.

Request the Cisco AnyConnect client

Alternatively, you can use the Cisco AnyConnect client to connect to the OnDemand servers.

Request managed file transfer configuration

You can transfer data files to and from the OnDemand cloud via the managed file transfer (MFT) process.

Request a migration tools server

One Windows virtual machine is provided upon request. This server is sized to accommodate the BMC Helix Data Manager migration tool and the Microsoft SQL Server database based on sizing recommendations that BMC provides.
State your backup data storage requirements in the request so that the appropriate amount of space is allocated for you.
